Tørnholmen Island is located, in the harbor of Stamsund, in the middle of the Lofoten archipelago. Stamsund is one of the few truly authentic fishing ports where fishing is the main industry.
Different activities and experiences like fishing, hiking, skiing, kayaking, golfing, surfing, diving, relaxing, team building, boat trips, meetings, local food and a lot more. It´s all up to you!
About us
Tørnholmen island is located in the heart of the Lofoten archipelago at 68 north. Once the most important island for cod liver oil distillation. Historic houses for the workers, the black smith house, the barns, the “rorbuer” are all put alive in a standard you will appreciate. Tørnholmen is now an island for companies, families and tourists for rent. The island and the old restored buildings have a unique atmosphere. If you are lucky 24 hours of sunshine in the summer and northern light in the winter is shining for you. The weather in the arctic is constantly changing!
We, the owners Hans-Christian and Dagny Jahren will be your dedicated hosts. Only one group of guests at the time may rent the island. Your privacy is your privilege. Each stay will be tailor-made to make sure your Lofoten experience will live up to your expectations. If you want or need them, our dedicated range of fishermen, guides, chefs, captains and others are stand by for your service!
Close to sea and mountains we provide a lot of different activities and dventures, all on your request. It’s all up to you! Maybe you just want to sit down and be unplugged. It’s your choice, we rent you the island and then we plan your stay in collaboration with you.
